SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
1

VOLUNTEER TRAINING

All volunteers must initially make two consecutive team building meetings with Administration and one Board meeting per year. Volunteers will participate in training   at various events with the founders to practice your skill set and get to know the community at large. Volunteers will also participate in at least two outreach and facilitator workshops  per year to prepare them to be engaged in the community and conduct workshops when needed. These trainings will help acclimate you with our organization and most importantly our vision. This will also help our Administration team to determine what level of outreach you best fit in. All trainings will help us all become closer as a team in order to build trust from within, this level of unity allows teams to better strategize, organize and prepare for assignments given as a whole.

Our goal is to participate in community events , collaborate with other city programs, churches, organizations etc. to serve the people in cities of which we live and work in. We will plan and execute outreach events that deal directly with tools and concepts that promote empowerment strategies which can impact various people (predominantly women). We will do this by means of workshops, community days, retreats, fun filled activities, referral of services, phone contact and home visits if determined feasible. We aim to build up the cities through building up the people by while helping to identify some of the main causes of personal adversities. These personable and community wide relationships through our contacts and services and will benefit the community as a whole and assist persons as they walk though  their transitions.

As an organization we are ready and willing to help walk along side others, both individually and as collaborations with other organizations to empower our communities.
